It's Christmas!

Back in 2016 we decided to step aside from normal curriculum and make a Christmas project which worked out to be very nice one and I believe brought a very special spirit into my students hearts.

I am very pleased to see everyone's eyes lit and some even have been doing more than I asked for so I decided to keep it going the following years. I haven't recorded everything - in the end it's not been done for the website but just to bring the Christmas spirit into everyone's heart! I will be posting new videos from Christmas to Christmas

2019-20. Natalia's interpretation of Shchedryk inspired by me playing in the video at the bottom of this page. She picked it all up by ear without searching the web or YouTube. Well done my dear!

Denys is progressing very well and it is fantastic to see him engaged in extra work. Not every student is willing to take part and lift a spirit in time for Christmas.

This piece was prepared in only two days and for that, I think I can give him a top mark!

2016. Denys has learned his part really well on both pieces and it was really a pleasure to play with him.

2016. Milena is also just going through the very basics but has done very well with her part of the project.

2016. Well done Jane! Although she is only going through basics and hasn't had any grading exams she has learned two Christmas pieces and played them very well in front of the camera.

2017. This Christmas Carol is written by Ukrainian composer Mykola Leontovych. It is one of the best known Christmas songs and recently was performed with original Ukrainian lyrics on Graham Norton's show by Katie Melua and her lovely Georgian choir!
